GENERAL DIVISION WEB SITE RECEIVES NATIONAL RECOGNITION

Posted: 2003-11-04

The General Division of the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court was selected as having one of the ten best court web sites. The award was given in conjunction with the Eighth National Court Technology Conference held in Kansas City, MO. The conference, sponsored by the National Center for State Courts, brings together many of the worlds leading Judges, Court Administrators, and technologists for training at the worlds largest conference dedicated exclusively to court technology.

Many courts in the United States and the world entered the competition. All entries were evaluated by a panel of judges and technology professionals for utility, designs, and other established standards. The final selection was made from more than thirty entrants.

Administrative Judge Jeffrey Froelich said that the award was a recognition for the work done by court staff to develop a site that provides useful court information to the public and litigants. He also notes that the web site project is a critical element the court’s strategic plan issue promoting improved access to the court.

The General Division remains committed to develop the web site in a continued pursuit of strategic goals and court effectiveness and efficiency.
